Getting started with SteadyShelf

Install, set your supplier lead times, and see your first reorder plan in about five minutes.

1. Install and start your free trial

Install SteadyShelf from the Shopify App Store and approve the plan. You get 30 days free, then $29 every 30 days, billed by Shopify on your normal Shopify invoice. Cancel any time by uninstalling the app.

2. Let SteadyShelf read your store

Right after install, SteadyShelf loads your products, stock levels and recent sales. Most stores finish in under a minute; very large catalogs can take a few minutes. You'll see a green "Store synced" message when it's done.

Gift cards and products that don't track inventory are skipped, since there's nothing to reorder.

3. Step 1: Your suppliers

SteadyShelf groups your products by the Vendor field in Shopify and shows one row per vendor. Type how many days each one usually takes to deliver after you order (the lead time). If you're not sure, leave the default of 14 days and change it later.

Saving this step creates one supplier per vendor and assigns that vendor's products to it.

4. Step 2: How much each order should cover

  • Days of stock each order should last (default 30): how long you want a new order to last after it arrives.
  • Safety buffer (default 7 days): extra days before the order-by date, in case a supplier runs late.

5. Step 3: Your first plan

You'll see how many products need ordering now, soon, or are fine. Finish to open your reorder plan.

Moving from Stocky?

Stocky doesn't let you export suppliers, so email support@steadyshelf.app and we'll set up your suppliers and lead times for you, free. Or import them from a spreadsheet yourself.

FAQ

How long does setup take?

About five minutes for most stores: install, type a lead time for each vendor, pick how many days each order should cover, done.

Do I need to tag or reorganize my products first?

No. SteadyShelf uses the Vendor field you already have in Shopify. Products with no vendor can be assigned to a supplier later on the Suppliers page.
