Stocky alternative
The Stocky alternative for reorder planning
Shopify retired Stocky on August 31, 2026. Shopify's admin now covers purchase orders, receiving and low-stock alerts. What it doesn't do is tell you what to order, how much, and when, based on each supplier's lead time. That's what SteadyShelf is for.
What carries over
| In Stocky | In SteadyShelf |
|---|---|
| Demand forecasting | Daily velocity per variant with seasonal adjustment |
| Reorder suggestions | Suggested quantity plus an order-by date per supplier |
| Suppliers and lead times | Imported from your Stocky export |
| Purchase orders | Drafted for you, approved by you |
Moving over
- Export your data from Stocky (suppliers, products and purchase orders) while your export window is open.
- Install SteadyShelf and upload the export. Suppliers and lead times map automatically.
- Review your first plan. Your sales history comes straight from Shopify, so forecasts are ready on day one.
Stocky alternatives compared
Since Stocky's retirement, Shopify stores have three broad options:
- Shopify admin only. Free. Covers purchase orders, receiving and stock levels, but no forecasting or reorder suggestions.
- Full inventory platforms. Powerful multi-channel and warehouse tools, typically priced for larger operations.
- A focused reorder-planning app. Forecasts, order-by dates and draft POs on top of Shopify's own inventory. That's SteadyShelf, at $29/month.

Some stores had Stocky access extended. If yours did, export anyway. It's the easiest time to switch.
