Stocky shutdown

How to export your Stocky data (and the one thing you can't export)

A checklist of everything to pull out of Stocky before the read-only window closes, where each export lives, and how to rebuild the supplier list Stocky won't give you.

Checklist: Suppliers · Purchase orders · Stocktakes · Products · Next steps

1. Suppliers: copy them by hand, first

This is the one people miss. Shopify states that suppliers can't be exported from Stocky, and Stocky's API stopped working on August 31, 2026. Open your supplier list and copy each one into a spreadsheet with these columns:

Supplier, Email, Phone, Contact, Lead time (days), Minimum order, Notes

Lead time is the most valuable column. It's the number every reorder decision depends on, and it's in your head or in Stocky, nowhere else. Add a second sheet that maps SKU → supplier, supplier SKU, case pack if you have it.

2. Purchase order history

PO history exists only in Stocky. Open a purchase order and use Download to save it as PDF, plain text or CSV, or use the purchase order reports to export many at once. Shopify says historical POs can't be imported into Shopify admin, so treat this as an archive of what you paid each supplier.

3. Stocktakes, adjustments and cost history

Export stocktake and adjustment reports for your audit trail. If you relied on Stocky's average unit cost, export the SKU/variant report too. Shopify keeps only the current cost per item, not the history.

4. Products and stock levels (no rush)

Your catalog and quantities live in Shopify. Products > Export > All products gives you SKUs, quantities and cost per item any time.

5. Load it into your replacement

SteadyShelf's import reads the supplier spreadsheet from step 1 and recognizes common column names (supplier, email, lead time, SKU, supplier SKU, case pack, minimum). It then forecasts from your Shopify sales history, so you don't need to bring Stocky's old forecasts across.
