Forecast settings and the weekly email
Tune how much to order and how far ahead to plan, and control the Monday reorder email.
Forecast settings
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Sales window (days) | 28 | How many recent days of sales to average. Shorter reacts faster to trends; longer smooths out spikes. |
| Days of stock to order for | 30 | How long each order should last after it arrives. Raise it to order less often in bigger batches. |
| Safety buffer (days) | 7 | Extra days before the order-by date, for supplier delays or sales spikes. |
Changes apply to the whole plan immediately.
Weekly reorder email
Every Monday morning SteadyShelf emails what to order this week, how much, and what it costs, grouped by supplier. It's on by default and goes to your store email. In Settings you can turn it off, send it to a different address, or click Send me one now to preview it.

How do I stop the Monday email?
Settings → Weekly reorder email → uncheck Send me the weekly reorder email, then save.
Can I set a different safety buffer per product?
Not yet. The safety buffer is store-wide. You can set case packs and minimum order quantities per product through import.
